"Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit..."
Does baptism save you?
The Gospel is the only thing that can save. Individuals must admit that they are a sinner and trust in the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of their sins. Baptism is expected and encouraged for every believer but it adds nothing to a person's salvation.
Do you Baptize Babies?
Valley Fourth Church practices what is called "Believer's Baptism." This means a person must be able to make a personal profession of faith in order to be qualified for baptism.
How do you Baptize?
Valley Fourth Church practices baptism by immersion which means that when someone is baptized they are completely submerged under water for just a few seconds.
Can I get Baptized again?
Baptism mirrors salvation in that it is a one time event with life-long significance. If a person has made a genuine profession of faith in Jesus and has been baptized then there is no need to be baptized again. If a person was Baptized without a genuine profession of faith, then we would encourage a person to undergo Baptism again.
