Let’s face it, there are times when doing the right thing in the eyes of God makes you an enemy in the eyes of other people. This can happen in a family, a neighborhood, a workplace, or even in a church. But if this has happened to you, take heart. David wrote here that he gave his most difficult interpersonal struggles to the Lord. David didn’t fight against people … he let the Lord handle his enemies. When we do this, we find rest in God and know that He will resolve the hostilities of others against us, in His way and in His time.

Oh Lord, sometimes obeying You gets me into tension with others. Help me to speak the truth to them when I can, to love them in Christ whenever I can, but to trust that You will work things out in Your plan for my good. In Your Ever Present Name, Amen
