Last Chance

Have you ever wondered how much Jesus loves even the deepest sinner? Look no further than this moment in the Upper Room. The Scripture says that earlier that night, the Devil had put it into the heart of Judas Iscariot to betray Jesus. Even knowing this, Jesus brought out the betrayal of Judas into the conversation that night, partly because He wanted Judas to hear His words and, in the final moment, turn from his deadly action. What love Jesus had for Judas, the deepest of sinners, that even in that hour He would confront Judas about his deadly plan and offer him a way out. None of us is too far from the convicting mercy of the Master. If you hear His convicting voice today, don’t ignore it like Judas did. Turn to Him today. 

Father, thank You for sending Your wonderful Son into this dark world of betrayal and sin. Thank You that He loved even Judas to the last. Help us to know that Jesus loves us deeply, even when we are trapped in sin, and that He is anxious to free us . Thank you for Your seeking love for us through Christ. Amen
