What We Believe

"What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us." - A.W. Tozer

Doctrinal Statement

Bible
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, inerrant Word of God and is the only rule for faith and practice.

God
We believe in one God who exists in three persons: the Father, Son and the Holy Spirit and that these three are coequal, coeternal and coessential.

Jesus Christ
We believe that Jesus Christ is God incarnate, was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, died on the cross for the sins of the world, was buried and rose again.  We believe that he is ascended and is seated at the Father’s right hand where he now intercedes for all true believers.

Holy Spirit
We believe the Holy Spirit is come to convict the world of sin; that he comes to teach and guide believers into all truth; that he permanently indwells every true believer in Christ; that he wants to fill, control and empower each believer for service; that all who believe in Christ are baptized by the Holy Spirit into the church, the body of Christ.

Mankind
We believe that man was created in the image of God, but in Adam’s fall, every person is a sinner both by birth and by practice.  We believe that every person must be born again in order to be forgiven of his sin and saved from eternal separation from God.

Salvation
We believe that salvation is by grace through faith apart from works and that every true believer will be kept saved forever by the power of God, and that this faith is personally to be in Christ’s substitutionary death on our behalf.

Growth
We believe that the privilege and responsibility of every Christian is to grow into spiritual maturity through obedience to the Word of God and the indwelling Holy Spirit.

Last Things
We believe in the premillennial, pre-tribulation rapture of the church.  We believe that the earth will then go through seven years of tribulation and then Jesus Christ will return to earth with his saints to set up his millennial kingdom.

The Church
We believe that the true church is one body composed of all believers, with Jesus Christ as head.  We believe that baptism and the Lord’s supper are scriptural ordinances to be observed by the church today.

Our Core Values

Doing all things for God's Glory

We believe we were created to glorify God.  All things can and should be done to God’s glory, as He works through us.
(1 Corinthians 10:31)

Producing Disciples

We believe in reaching people worldwide with the Gospel and teaching them to be obedient disciples.
(Matthew 28:19-20)

Biblical Preaching

We believe in preaching that draws the content of the message from the content of the text.
(2 Timothy 4:1-2)

Spirit Transformed Lives

We believe Spirit-controlled living produces true Christlikeness seen in visibly transformed lives.
(Galatians 5:22-23)

Primacy of Prayer

We believe in seeking the face of God in worship before we seek His hand in requests, and that prayer should guide and empower all that we do.
(Philippians 4:4-7)

Biblical Community

We believe in following Biblical principles in our relationships as a church, as individuals, as families, and as leaders, in a spirit of love and unity.
(Philippians 2:2)

Faith in Action

We believe in empowering all believers to use their spiritual gifts from a heart of service and compassion to impact the church and the community.
(Ephesians 2:10)

Obedience to the Scriptures

We believe that Scripture should guide all our decisions and practices as a church, with a spirit of becoming doers of the Word.
(James 1:22)

Preaching Christ Crucified

We believe in preaching the historic, Biblical gospel that holds to the substitutionary death of Christ, His physical resurrection and a salvation received by grace through faith.
(1 Corinthians 2:2)

Christ Honoring Worship

We believe in worship that honors the Word of God and the work of Christ.
(John 4:23-24)
